Joh's groups are small, with a maximum of 8 guests on each tour.

This creates an optimal opportunity for connection between the group members, and most importantly, allows the group to merge with the flow of local life rather than disrupt it.

Travelling in a small group is imperative for authentic experiences and flexibility for individual needs.

SAMPLE ITINERARY

DAY 1 ~ Arrive on the evening flight to Kathmandu where you will be welcomed by Joh
at the airport. Transfer to guesthouse in Boudhanath.
DAY 2 ~ Explore the extraordinary Boudhanath stupa right on our doorstep, witnessing the
Buddhist kora rituals and daily life. Begin our journey with blessings from a Buddhist Lama in a monastery. A late afternoon visit to Swayambhunath offers panoramic
hilltop views of the city.
DAY 3 ~ Rickshaw through the busy streets of the original city to Ason Bazaar, the local market,
a feast for the senses. Stroll down winding cobblestone lanes to explore hidden gems. Visit nearby Durbar Square and enjoy free time in vibrant Thamel.
DAY 4 ~ Watch daily life unfold amongst the locals in Patan Durbar Square, an ancient royal
palace courtyard. Wander the backstreets before immersing in a Thangka
painting workshop with local artisans.
DAY 5 ~ Witness the changing landscape as we leave Kathmandu for the 2.5 hr drive to the start
of our white water rafting journey on the Trisuli river. Paddle through scenic gorges and ride the waves to a riverside camp for tea and lunch. Wander through a small Gurung village, cross a suspension bridge before continuing our rafting trip to reach our awaiting vehicle. We drive on to the lakeside town of Pokhara where you are free to explore.
DAY 6 ~ A wooden boat takes us onto the serene Phewa lake to the small island temple of
Barahi to receive blessings. Wander the lake shore & closed streets to revel in the sacred Holi festival celebrations! Our afternoon has opportunities to take part in optional artisan workshops or paragliding!
DAY 7 ~ Wake early to drive to Sarangkot for a hilltop yoga class with awe-inspiring views of the Annapurna Himalaya (weather permitting). Breakfast with mountain vistas before enjoying an
easy 2-3 hr scenic walk to view rural life and farming terraces. Drive back to our hotel and
perhaps enjoy an optional ayurvedic massage or quiet time by the lake.
DAY 8 ~ Free time this morning followed by a visit to a nearby monastery, witnessing the
Buddhist monks puja in the ornately painted prayer hall. Views are stunning from this hilltop
sacred site.
DAY 9 ~ Relax and recharge with a singing bowl sound healing class and learn how to play. Enjoy a
final lakeside lunch before flying back to Kathmandu with breathtaking views of the
landscape below.
DAY 10 ~ Drive out of the city to visit Bhaktapur, an ancient cobblestone city closed to traffic
and home to artisan potters and wood carvers. Admire the architecture and craftmanship, and
taste the famous 'dahi' yoghurt exclusive to the area.
DAY 11 ~ Reflect on your favourite experiences over our final breakfast together. Join Joh
